Bagrad Archbishop Talks About Relations with Iran
Iran is a very friendly country for the Republic of Armenia, and we should deepen and develop Armenian-Iranian relations even further. This was stated by the Primate of the Tavush Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, after making a condolence entry in the mourning book opened at the Iranian embassy.
He emphasized the necessity and need to deepen the relations and stated that he knows how it should be done.
The Archbishop mentioned that his sense of kinship towards Iran stems from personal experience, as his family immigrated from there to Armenia.
According to him, it is necessary to neutralize the issues that could pose any threat to Armenian-Iranian relations. "We must regard with great appreciation the firm statements made by the Iranian military-political elite, which have remained unchanged since 2020 and relate to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia and the associated security issues," said Archbishop Bagrat.
