11-Year-Old Boy Hit by Car in Yerevan; Doctors Fight for Child's Life
Today, on May 23, a hit-and-run incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 14:55, a "Toyota Land Cruiser Prado" with license plate "01 OO 400" struck an 11-year-old boy, Vardan M., a resident of Yerevan, on Azatamartikneri Street.
According to Shamshyan, the child was transported by the vehicle to the "Muratsan" Pediatric Hospital, where doctors provided initial medical assistance before transferring him with a critical diagnosis to the "Holy Astvatsatsin" Medical Center via an ambulance.
The police and investigative department are working to establish the driver’s identity. According to sources, a 42-year-old resident of the Kotayk province, Karen Ayvazyan, reported feeling unwell and claimed that he was the one driving the "Toyota Land Cruiser Prado."
The police and investigators have suspicions that his statement may either be true or fabricated.
