The Turkish Press Comments on the Movement of Bishop Bagrat
National Assembly member Khachatur Sukiasyan has addressed the progress of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement, stating today that the leaders of the movement, opposition figures, and others may face death, imprisonment, or persecution in other forms. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Holy Struggle."
“The government representative essentially uses the National Assembly podium to threaten the people and us. He threatens the very same people whose thousands of children have died at the border as a result of the incompetent governance of that same administration. He also threatens the people of Artsakh by saying that if they continue to participate in protests, they will be deprived of benefits and housing opportunities in the future. They threaten us with dispossession and murder. This is the clear picture of what we want and what they want. That behavior, which was previously hidden, is now being revealed. But do you know what is the most interesting and important point? The fact that it is not just Sukiasyan who is threatening us. We have received such threats earlier. Open the Turkish press and see what the Erdogan-affiliated "SüperHaber.com" electronic publication is writing. Here is the headline: 'Who Will Kill Bishop Bagrat... They Will Blame the Turks.'
The article states that allegedly it is Armenians who will kill Bishop Bagrat and blame it on the Turkish or Azerbaijani special services. And now, when we combine Sukiasyan's statements and the writings of Erdogan's family newspaper, the picture becomes much clearer. Our people's enemies understand well what this struggle is about. They are fully aware that the Armenian people will assert their dignity and that truth will prevail over lies. They know very well that this chain of incessant humiliation of Armenia and the Armenian people will soon be broken. That is why they threaten us,” he wrote.
