We Must Immediately Start Implementing This Decision: Borrell

The head of European Union diplomacy, Josep Borrell, welcomes the EU Council's decision to use profits obtained from frozen Russian assets to provide military assistance to Ukraine and urges Brussels to start implementing this decision immediately.

"I especially welcome the Council's important and urgent decision to use unplanned revenues from immobilized Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine. According to my proposals, 90 percent of the military assistance will go through the European Peace Facility. We must immediately start implementing this decision," he wrote on X.
