Crash on Yerevan-Gyumri Highway Results in Death of 17-Year-Old Passenger
A traffic accident has occurred on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to another. This information has been confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs' rescue service.
According to the report, the incident took place on May 18 at approximately 4:20 AM. A firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been dispatched to the scene.
It has been established that a ‘Mercedes-Benz’ vehicle (driven by E.B., born in 1983) veered off the roadway (approximately 30 meters) and ended up in a field. Before rescuers arrived at the scene, both the driver and passenger A.H. (born in 2007) were hospitalized; unfortunately, A.H. passed away en route to the medical center, while the driver’s health condition was assessed as stable.
Rescuers disconnected the vehicle's power and closed the gas cylinder valve.
