New Speed Camera Installed
The Road Police informs that the lack of photo-capturing technical means for monitoring compliance with the established maximum speed has created favorable conditions for many drivers to exceed the speed limit, contributing to the emergence of traffic accidents. In accordance with Article 22 of the Law on Police of the Republic of Armenia, a photo-capturing technical device has been relocated and installed on the section of the highway from Ashtarak to Yerevan, specifically on the Davitashen-Ashtarak highway, after the overhead crossing. The allowed speed for traffic in this area is 60 km/h.
The photo-capturing technical means will be activated starting May 20. The Road Police urges drivers to adhere to the rules of road traffic.
