Negotiations Between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Will Last for 2 Days
The negotiations between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, which have commenced in Almaty, Kazakhstan, will last for two days. Bayramov announced this information, expressing confidence that the talks will be very beneficial for the resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
“I hope that we will be able to work well during these two days to find a resolution to the outstanding problematic issues,” said Bayramov.
According to him, an important aspect of the recent negotiations is the fact that a record was signed, marking the beginning of the Armenian-Azerbaijani delimitation process. In Baku, there is special attention being paid to this process, Bayramov noted.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister added that joint efforts are currently underway to clear the corresponding sections of landmines, and the geographical coordinates have been clarified. The installation of border pillars in that area is nearly complete.
It should be reminded that the commissions on the delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to start the delimitation from the Tavush region on April 19. The description of the border line will be developed while taking into account the clarifications of coordinates obtained from geodetic measurements in the field, which should be completed by May 15, 2024.
