Garnik Danielyan Comments on NSS Statement
The participants of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement have not taken any unconstitutional steps. This was stated by Garnik Danielyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Armenia" faction, during a conversation with journalists in Abovyan, commenting on the NSS announcement.
"I see this as a threat against our own people. My call is to all those in service, not to attempt to use violence or intimidate or threaten citizens conducting their peaceful protests in any way," emphasized Danielyan.
He also posed a question to the NSS and those agencies responsible for ensuring the national security of our country: "Is the security of the Republic of Armenia guaranteed today?" Danielyan stressed that this struggle is to protect the borders of the country and for everyone to focus on their own work.
According to him, "every agency has not done its job, which is why we have reached this point." It is worth recalling that earlier in the morning, the NSS issued a statement urging the supporters of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement to uphold legality and not to infringe upon the rule of law, warning that any conduct threatening the constitutional order that is unlawful will be neutralized using all the means established by law.
