Xi Jinping and Emmanuel Macron Issue Joint Statement
The leader of China, Xi Jinping, and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, have issued a joint statement following negotiations, advocating for a peaceful resolution to the Iranian nuclear issue. This was reported by China Central Television.
“China and France reaffirm that they will exert efforts to promote the resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue through political and diplomatic means,” the joint statement from Xi and Macron reads.
Both parties have also expressed their willingness to contribute to the preservation of international mechanisms that ensure the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and to jointly promote peace and stability in the Middle East region.
