KP Member Comments on Bishop Bagrat's Statement
Arthur Hovhannisyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction, declined to comment on the statement made yesterday by Bishop Bagrat of Tavush, which indicated that senior members of the Civil Contract party have already been sending internal messages on how they can join the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement.
During a parliamentary briefing, when a reporter asked if the Civil Contract party ruled out the possibility of members sending such messages, Hovhannisyan replied that he was unaware of what was being discussed. “I have no comment. I do not know what the basis of such statements is at all and what they are made for,” he stated.
Hovhannisyan did not forget to remind that since 2018, Armenia has been a democratic country, thus the freedom of assembly is guaranteed for everyone.
