Car Accident and Fire on Sebastia Street: Injuries Reported
On May 5, at 21:00, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a traffic accident with fire on Sebastia Street in Yerevan, indicating that a citizen was trapped.
Two fire-rescue teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue department, an operational group from the National Crisis Management Center, and a duty psychologist from the Psychological Support Division were dispatched to the scene.
It was found that a fire had erupted in a Toyota Camry (driver: S.M., born in 1994), which crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Toyota Corolla (driver: K.S., born in 1995), which subsequently hit a Honda vehicle (driver: A.C.). The injured individuals were not trapped.
The rescuers brought S.M. and a passenger of the Toyota Corolla, A.K. (born in 1996), to an ambulance. The injured were hospitalized in medical centers, while K.S. was transported to a medical center by patrol service officers.
The fire was contained by 21:39 and extinguished by 22:48. The interior of the Toyota Camry was damaged by the fire.
The rescuers conducted monitoring until the gas cylinder of the Toyota Camry was emptied.
