Video: How Much Money and Property the Prosecution Demands from Kocharian, Tsarukyan, and Khachatryan

The Prosecutor General's Office has submitted a demand for the seizure of assets from Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, and individuals connected to him, claiming the confiscation of 79 real estate properties and 42 vehicles on behalf of Armenia.

“The Prosecutor's Office demands the seizure of the unidentified 8 vehicles valued at 349 million drams, as well as the amount of approximately 33.5 million drams from a relinquished claim,” announced Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan in the National Assembly.

Additionally, the prosecution seeks the confiscation of 10 pieces of real estate, shares in 39 legal entities, rights to claims equivalent to more than 63.3 billion drams in loans, and amounts exceeding 16.8 billion drams given to 12 physical and legal entities, along with a claim exceeding 86 billion 480 million drams, which represents income derived from the use of illicit property and payments, transfers, and other outflows not substantiated by legal income.

The Prosecutor General's Office has also submitted a demand for the former head of the State Revenue Committee and former Minister of Finance Gagik Khachatryan and individuals related to him to seize around 200 pieces of real estate on behalf of Armenia. “Of these, 56 are in the center of Yerevan,” Vardapetyan stated in parliament.

Furthermore, the prosecution demands that Khachatryan also loses 13 vehicles, shares in 29 legal entities both in Armenia and abroad, over 1.4 million dollars in deposits and securities, and rights to claims equivalent to over 23 million dollars, as well as more than 23 billion drams, which, according to the prosecutor, represents the total of leftover funds of illicit origin transferred to bona fide third parties and other expenses.

Lastly, the Prosecutor General's Office has filed a request for the confiscation of 25 pieces of real estate from former President Robert Kocharian and 7 individuals connected to him on behalf of Armenia. “The prosecution also demands the confiscation of 5 vehicles, shares in 16 legal entities in Armenia and abroad, and more than 4 million dollars in securities deposits,” Vardapetyan added.

“This includes the right to claims equivalent to around 10 billion drams and over 35 billion drams, which represent the total of leftover funds of illicit origin transferred to bona fide third parties and other spent funds,” Vardapetyan concluded.
