Scholz Believes in Imminent Signing of Peace Agreement Between Baku and Yerevan
The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, believes in the imminent signing of a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan. Scholz made this statement during a press conference following an expanded meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, highlighting that there are many topics for discussion.
He noted that the issue of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan was addressed during the meeting. “It is good that the leaders of both countries are engaged in dialogue. During your last meeting, you said that all issues would be resolved. I expect both sides to show the necessary constructiveness,” he stated.
The Chancellor also mentioned that he has received news regarding the start of the delimitation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Praising this development, Olaf Scholz expressed his belief that a peace treaty will be signed this year.
