Bus Carrying Schoolchildren Overturns in Germany, Dozens Injured
A bus overturned near the city of Olpe in western Germany, resulting in injuries to 27 schoolchildren, reports Bild.
The bus was transporting students aged 15-17 from Marburg to England, accompanied by adult chaperones. It unexpectedly veered off the A45 highway and overturned.
"In total, 27 adolescents were injured in the accident, four of whom sustained serious injuries and have been taken to the hospital. The bus driver, 54 years old, also suffered minor injuries," reports Bild.
There were a total of 75 passengers on the bus. For those who did not require medical assistance, arrangements were made for transport back to Marburg. The causes of the accident are not yet known.
