Today's Solar Eclipse Will Occur
Today, April 8, a solar eclipse will take place, lasting more than five hours. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow planetarium to TASS.
The longest phase during which the Moon will cover the Sun will be visible in northern Mexico, where the greatest phase of the eclipse will be observed, lasting a total of 4 minutes and 28 seconds.
According to the planetarium's announcement, the total solar eclipse will be accompanied by a partial eclipse of the sun, which can be seen on both sides of the totality band, where the Moon's penumbra falls.
The total phase will also be visible from certain territories in North America and some islands in the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. This eclipse will not be visible in Russia.
Today's solar eclipse will also not be visible from Armenia.
