Opera House and Mother Armenia Statue to Be Illuminated
The building of the Yerevan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, along with the Mother Armenia statue, will be illuminated. This was announced today, April 8, during a working meeting at the Yerevan City Hall.
It was noted that supports will be installed in Republic Square, on which LED lights will be placed. "There are ongoing discussions regarding the lighting of the building so that both the colors and the appearance are clear, but we do not have a final conclusion yet," said Tigran Geghamyan, head of the Construction and Urban Development Department of the City Hall.
Mayor Tigran Avinyan also issued instructions concerning the lighting of the Mother Armenia statue: "The statue is not properly illuminated."
