Russia Reaffirms Commitment to Deepen and Expand Allied Relations with Armenia
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has expressed concern regarding the meeting held today in Brussels between Armenia, the United States, and the EU, viewing it as yet another attempt by the West to embroil the South Caucasus region in geopolitical confrontation.
In its statement, the Russian side also emphasizes its readiness to deepen its relations with Armenia.
"We reaffirm our commitment to comprehensively deepen and expand relations with Armenia based on the principles enshrined in fundamental bilateral documents and agreements within integration unions. We are convinced that the development of Russian-Armenian allied relations will contribute to the realization of the fundamental interests of the peoples of Russia and Armenia and to strengthening security and stability in the region," the statement reads.
