Ukraine and Finland Sign a 10-Year Support Agreement
On April 3, the presidents of Finland and Ukraine, Alexander Stub and Vladimir Zelensky, signed a cooperation and long-term support agreement in the field of security between the two countries in Kyiv. According to Armenpress, this was reported by Deutsche Welle.
With this 10-year agreement, Finland has committed to providing necessary support to Ukraine in various areas, including politics, defense and security, and the country's reforms and reconstruction.
According to the document, Finland will continue to provide Ukraine with a significant volume of military, political, financial, and humanitarian assistance at the same dynamic level.
Alexander Stub also informed Vladimir Zelensky that Finland will supply Ukraine with another package of weapons valued at 188 million euros. Thus, since 2022, the total amount of aid provided by Helsinki to Kyiv will reach 2 billion euros.
Recently, Finland made a 30 million euro investment in a Czech initiative for the joint procurement of artillery ammunition for Ukraine. This year, the Finns have already provided over 400 million euros in support to Ukrainians and intend to increase that amount by at least two more packages.
