Why the Bids for Pothole Repairs on Secondary Streets Remain Unsuccessful: Avinyan
During the latest operational meeting of the Yerevan City Hall on April 1, Mayor Tigran Avinyan raised concerns about the delays in pothole repairs on secondary streets. He urged that a review of the pothole repair standards should occur ahead of next year's work to ensure that projects for this year do not face interruptions.
“Any changes being made should follow the logic of not hindering the current year's processes,” Avinyan stated.
Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Levon Hovhannisyan spoke about the pothole repairs on primary streets and informed that these works began last Wednesday. “We assess the progress as sufficient; it is actively ongoing, particularly in the Kentron, Arabkir, and Nor Nork administrative districts. Due to heavy traffic, most of the work occurs during nighttime hours,” he noted.
Repairs have not started yet in the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts. He added that, according to the agreement, they will commence today.
