Taliban Delegation Invited to International Economic Forum in Russia
The Taliban delegation, currently in power in Afghanistan, has been invited to participate in the "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" international economic conference. This was reported by Zamir Kabulov, the special representative of the President of Russia for Afghanistan and director of the second department of Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Yes, they are invited," he stated. Kabulov also noted that cooperation between Russia and the Taliban government on counter-terrorism issues is proceeding regularly.
The conference will take place in Kazan from May 14-19. It is noteworthy that the Taliban is considered a banned terrorist organization in Russia.
