Those Who Armedly Stormed the Police Building Are Members of the National-Democratic Axis
The individuals who armedly stormed the police building are members of the National-Democratic Axis. This was stated by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan, during a conversation with journalists today, March 25.
He noted that a criminal case has been initiated, and he will not provide further details.
Addressing the events of the same day regarding the prevention of members of the ‘Combat Brotherhood’ from entering Voskepar, the spokesperson denied the claims: “They are free to go to Voskepar.”
Sargsyan mentioned that 49 individuals were detained on suspicion of carrying illegal weapons but were later released as no illegal weapons were found.
It is worth recalling that yesterday around 5:00 PM, three individuals attempted to storm the administrative building of the Police Department of Nor Nork, using a grenade, resulting in injuries to two of the attackers, who were then taken to a medical facility. Their condition is moderate.
The police forces had surrounded the building of the Nor Nork division and for about two hours negotiated with Stepan Hovhannisyan, who stood with the grenade near the entrance of the division, attempting to neutralize him under the leadership of Police Chief Aram Hovhannisyan.
Eventually, the special forces of the National Security Service neutralized the grenade-wielding man through a special operation. The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under the articles related to terrorism. Law enforcement officials have not yet officially disclosed the specific demands made by those who attempted the storming.
