What is the Reason for the Dismissal of the Highest-Paid Deputy Minister Gayane Gabrielyan?

As previously reported, Gayane Gabrielyan has been dismissed from the position of Deputy Minister of Environment. According to ArmLur.am, the reason was the poor relationship with Minister Hakob Simidyan, despite Gabrielyan being one of the highest-paid deputy ministers.

The media outlet examined Gayane Gabrielyan's biography and noted that she began her career in 2008 as a store director. In 2012, she served as a lecturer in Economics at Yerevan State University, although this lasted nearly 10 months. In the same year, she worked at the RA Ministry of Health's State Scientific Medical Library as a procurement advisor, where she remained for over 7 years.

Significant career growth was observed in 2020 when she was appointed as the head of the Public Investment Policy Department at the Ministry of Economy of Armenia. In 2021, Gayane Gabrielyan was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Environment.

It should be noted that earlier it was reported that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision to dismiss Gayane Gabrielyan from her position as the Deputy Minister of Environment. The decision states, 'Guided by the first part of Article 9 of the Law on Public Service, Gayane Gabrielyan is dismissed from the position of Deputy Minister of Environment.'
