Putin Addresses Nation After Elections
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in his video address that the elections demonstrated that Russia is a large and united family. “Together we are moving along the historical path we have chosen, confident in ourselves, our strengths, and our future. We will do everything to turn great national projects into reality,” he emphasized.
Putin noted that all candidates participating in the election had specific proposals for concrete issues, and that the constructive suggestions and ideas that resonated with voters would be utilized by the Russian government in support of the country's development.
In Putin’s assessment, responsible elections were held, resulting in the Russian people choosing the path that Russia will continue to follow. “We chose the future of ourselves and our children, and the active voter turnout is evidence of the importance of this election. Thank you for your support; every vote was significant, and it does not matter for whom you voted, what matters is that you recognized the importance of your civic duty, respected your right to vote, and exercised free elections. Each of your votes has had a tremendous impact,” he declared.
The Russian president concluded his speech by stating, “Thank you for your trust; I will do everything to justify it.”
