Alen Simonyan to Visit Belgium and Switzerland
The Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, has signed a directive concerning the "Temporary Execution of the Duties of the Speaker of the National Assembly," which states: "Guided by the third part of Article 6, Section 2 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly and considering the directives K-61-A and K-66-A of the Speaker of the National Assembly dated March 4 and March 12, 2024, I hereby order:
1. To assign the temporary execution of the duties of the Speaker of the National Assembly to the Vice-Speaker Ruben Rubinyan from March 19-25, 2024." It is noteworthy that, according to a previous directive signed by the Speaker of the National Assembly, a delegation led by Alen Simonyan will travel to Brussels (Kingdom of Belgium) to participate in the 11th plenary session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly from March 19-21, 2024. Furthermore, the delegation will head to Geneva (Swiss Confederation) to attend the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union from March 22-25, 2024.
