The State Academy of Fine Arts is also on the list of ‘reforms’, and no one agrees: Rector
The Rector of the State Academy of Fine Arts, Aram Isabekyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “The State Academy of Fine Arts is currently living its normal life, and it seems that everything is proceeding in an orderly fashion. However, everything troubling the Conservatory's staff and students is also concerning us, and our fine arts institution is also on that list of ‘reforms’.
Of course, this is not about closure, but rather the so-called optimization and the relocation of certain spaces. I should say right away that there is no one at the Academy who agrees with these plans, and it is unclear how they intend to implement all of this without our consent. The Academy was not established yesterday; it has an 80-year glorious history, it is the only university of fine arts in Armenia, and it does not deserve this kind of treatment.”
