Thousands Protest Against Prime Minister in Madrid
Thousands of people have taken to the streets in central Madrid to express their opposition to a legislation granting amnesty to supporters of Catalonia's independence and to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. This is reported by TASS.
The demonstration was organized by nearly a hundred organizations at a square near the Madrid City Hall. Some opposition parties also supported the rally. Participants chanted slogans against Pedro Sánchez.
It has also been reported that protesting Spanish farmers have blocked roads across the country with tractors. Agricultural workers, who are demanding improvements in labor conditions and a change in policies in the sector, have impeded traffic on highways in Barcelona, Tarragona, Castilla-La Mancha, Valencia, Aragon, La Rioja, Murcia, and other regions of the country.
At the end of January, it was reported that around 45,000 people participated in a protest in central Madrid against the amnesty law for Catalan independence supporters and against Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
