Surén Papikyan Meets with Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces
During his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Armenian Minister of Defense Surén Papikyan met with Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.
The Armenian Ministry of Defense's press service reports that the meeting focused on issues related to military cooperation and regional security. Earlier, Papikyan held a meeting with Brigadier General Dr. Mohammad Reza Gharaei Ashtiani, the Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support of Iran.
The two ministers exchanged views on international and regional matters and reaffirmed their positions on establishing lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
During the meeting, several agreements were reached on topics of mutual interest.
