Vahagn Vermishyan to Be Released
Former chairman of the Urban Development Committee of Armenia, Vahagn Vermishyan, is set to be released. This information was shared by his lawyer, Aleksandr Kochubaev.
“After 4 years and 1 month of unlawful detention, Vermishyan will be released. The Anti-Corruption Court of Appeals approved the request for a change in detention,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
It is important to note that Vahagn Vermishyan faced charges of receiving a particularly large bribe. He was arrested on February 5, 2020, and in May 2023, he was sentenced to 8 years in prison.
