Georgy Papoyan's Parliamentary Powers Terminated
The parliamentary powers of Georgy Papoyan, a member of the Civil Contract party faction, have been terminated.
“Based on the application for resignation submitted by the deputy and guided by the provisions of paragraph 6 of part 1 of Article 154 and part 2 of Article 155 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, it is declared that the parliamentary powers of Georgy Papoyan, elected from the electoral list of the Civil Contract party, have been terminated,” states the note signed by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
It is noteworthy that a week ago, the board of the Civil Contract party discussed and approved the candidacy of Georgy Papoyan for the position of Minister of Economy.
