Issues in the Region Must Be Resolved Without External Forces, Says Kılıç
During the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, Turkey's special envoy and representative in Armenian-Turkish normalization talks, Serdar Kılıç, delivered a speech. Kılıç stated, 'I am now more confident that we must do everything first and foremost to create mutual trust. Listening to Ruben and Hikmet, it is clear how sensitive the situation is and how difficult the negotiations are. I agree with Mr. Hajiyev that the main point is that we must demonstrate the perception of regional ownership. Attempts to impose solutions in the region by external forces are counterproductive. We saw that the 30-year Minsk process was a major failure. We need to learn lessons from all this. Establishing peace and stability in the region will be crucial not only for the three countries but also for the entire Euro-Atlantic region. And I believe that we have the necessary tools to make all this a reality. It should be noted that nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.'
