The US Announces Openness to Discuss Certain Issues with Russia

Commenting on Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's statements regarding Russia's readiness to engage in dialogue with the US on strategic stability, a representative of the US State Department has stated that the US is open to substantive discussions with Russia on nuclear risks and arms control.

“We have repeatedly stated that we are open to engaging in substantial discussions with Russia regarding nuclear risks and arms control. This remains relevant today. As President Joe Biden has stated, dialogue on nuclear weapons issues must continue,” said the US State Department representative.
