VIDEO: Passenger Car Falls from Bridge into Kura River in Tbilisi; One Dead

In Tbilisi, a passenger car has fallen from the Metekhi Bridge into the Kura River. One of the passengers in the vehicle has died.

The incident occurred at night, and according to witnesses, the car crashed into the railing of the Metekhi Bridge and then fell into the river on Thursday evening.

Rescue operations at the scene lasted for four hours with divers and specialized equipment involved. Shortly after midnight, the car was located and lifted from below.

According to the rescuers, one person has died.
