Leader of the 'Dignity' Initiative Assaulted in Yerevan
Today around noon, Raphael Aivazyan, the leader of the 'Dignity' initiative, was brutally assaulted in Yerevan. This was reported by Irakanum.am.
“Around 12:00 PM, in the area known as the 'Mercedes Intersection' in Masivium, while Aivazyan was driving his own vehicle, another car hit his from behind. When he got out of the car to talk to the driver of the offending vehicle, three masked individuals attacked him and beat him, after which they fled the scene. According to the information we received, Raphael Aivazyan did not even have the chance to see who the attackers were. There is information suggesting that the incident may be related to Aivazyan's social and political activities,” the site reported, citing its sources.
In a conversation with the media outlet, the RA Police confirmed the news about the incident in Yerevan. Zarzand Gabrielian, a spokesperson for the police, told Irakanum.am that the individual was taken to Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center and then to the Izmirlian Hospital. The police have received reports from both hospitals, and according to Gabrielian, these reports are being verified.
