Ministry of Education Issues Circular on National Flag and Anthem to Schools
The Ministry of Education has sent a circular to schools, instructing them to have the national anthem of Armenia played every Monday before classes begin. This was reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.
"Does the right hand in the government not know what the left hand is doing? While officials are making statements about the need to change the state symbols of the Republic of Armenia, and just recently, the Speaker of the Parliament Alen Simonyan expressed opinions about changing the anthem and coat of arms, the Ministry of Education has sent a circular to schools instructing that the national anthem must be played every Monday before classes, either through a recording or sung a cappella by the students themselves. The circular also details the placement and appearance of the flag, which should not be wrinkled, must be directly installed at the entrance, and should have a clean, neat appearance," the newspaper reported.
