“If Necessary, We Will Go Out to the Streets, and If Needed, We Will Lie Under the Bulldozers,” Hayk Marutyan
I am very happy that the institution of active citizenship is being revived, which had almost suffocated. This was stated today, on January 30, at the public hearings regarding the fate of the 4th zone of the Circular Park in Yerevan by Hayk Marutyan, a member of the city council and former mayor.
“This meeting shows that it is being revived. Our team will fight for every inch like we did 10-15 years ago, 6 years ago, even after the revolution; we will fight for all public interests and for our citizens. We have no problem; if necessary, we will go out to the streets, and if needed, we will lie under the bulldozers. The only thing that has changed in our team is our age; we have aged a bit,” he said.
