They are looking for who else can sponsor this adventure: Zakharova
The provision of €7 billion in assistance from Berlin to Kyiv is indicative of the United States pressuring NATO affiliates to increase their expenditures. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a press briefing. The information was reported by RIA Novosti.
“Germany, continuing to deplete the pockets of its farmers and other citizens, intends to allocate €7 billion in military aid to Ukraine in 2024. In fact, they will double their assistance. This is logical, as state support is decreasing; Washington is forcing its satellites and NATO subdivisions to contribute more,” Zakharova said.
Addressing the media, she mentioned that Berlin is “insistently demanding that other EU countries follow its example.”
“I do not want to drown alone, as being the main sponsor of (Vladimir) Zelensky's regime in the EU will cost Berlin quite a lot. Therefore, they are looking for who else can sponsor this adventure, especially against the backdrop of a gloomy future and military support from the United States, and for those who view things realistically, the outcome of this bloody drama is no mystery,” she noted.
