US Plans to Build Military Base in Azerbaijan: Media Reports

The United States aims to establish a military base in Azerbaijan near the border with Iran. This was reported by the Telegram channel Баграмян 26, citing political scientist and analyst Yury Podolyaka.

“The US is intentionally striving for manageable conflicts globally and is instigating tensions. The main goal in the South Caucasus is the destabilization of Russia and Iran,” the website quotes American political scientist John Varone.

It is believed that the military base will be located in Lekoran (south of Baku) and adjacent to the border with Iran. Varone notes that the tensions between Azerbaijan and the US are exacerbated by disputes between the teams of Netanyahu and Biden.

Netanyahu’s government is manipulating the existing tensions between the Azerbaijani government and the United States for its own purposes, prioritizing Washington's goals to satisfy Israel's needs.
