The Volume of Money Transfers from Abroad Has Increased
During the period from January to November 2023, approximately 2 trillion 43.3 billion drams were received through the banks of Armenia on behalf of individuals from abroad, which is an increase of 82.8 billion drams or 4.2% compared to the same period in 2022.
This information was reported by Gevorg Papoyan, the Chairman of the Financial and Budgetary Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Armenia.
"From January to November 2023, a total of 1 trillion 459 billion drams were transferred abroad by individuals through Armenian banks, which represents an increase of 469.2 billion drams or 47.4% compared to the same period in 2022. The net inflow of funds received and sent abroad by individuals through the banks of Armenia during the same period was 584.4 billion drams, which is 386.3 billion drams or 39.8% less than the corresponding figure for 2022," he noted.
