Peskov on Migrants in Russia
The issue of migration is quite relevant on the agenda, and this system requires constant improvement. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, stated this during a conversation with journalists when asked whether a specialized body would be created regarding migration issues.
“First of all, the theme of migrants is indeed very relevant and included in the agenda. Secondly, you know President Putin's balanced position on the theme of migrants. Of course, there is a certain system in place, but its continuous improvement is necessary, which will also be done. This includes results from direct communication. A list of assignments is currently being prepared,” said Peskov.
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin, while summarizing the year, stated that the issue related to labor migrants is not an easy one, but economic problems should not be solved at the expense of the indigenous population.
