When and Under What Conditions Will the Peace Treaty Be Signed?
Armenia is ready to sign a peace treaty by the end of the year. This was stated by the member of the "Civil Contract" faction and the chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Foreign Relations, Sargis Khandanian, during a briefing in parliament.
“If all the fundamental issues that Armenia raises and around which there has been agreement are reaffirmed and included in the peace treaty, then the signing of the peace treaty will be a matter of technical details,” Khandanian noted.
According to him, if the proposals Armenia recently sent to Baku are agreed upon in this form regarding the peace treaty, it is possible that the treaty will be signed by the end of the year.
“But how the circumstances will actually shape up remains to be seen,” Khandanian added.
