Russia's Foreign Ministry Comments on Joint Statement by Armenia and Azerbaijan
The Russian Federation welcomes the agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding the normalization of relations, the conclusion of a peace treaty, and the release of servicemen. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry, as conveyed by RIA Novosti.
"The recent steps taken by Azerbaijan and Armenia contribute to building trust and create opportunities for the normalization of relations between the parties," the statement said.
It is worth noting that yesterday, a statement was released announcing that Azerbaijan will return 32 detained Armenians to Armenia in exchange for 2 Azerbaijanis.
