Igith LLC Fined 32 Million Dram for Deceptive Practices in Unfair Competition
The Competition Protection Commission has imposed a fine of approximately 32 million dram on Igith LLC for deceptive practices in unfair competition. The decision comes after oversight conducted in the dairy and dairy products sector revealed several violations.
Specifically, it was established that:
- Products marketed as "Lori" cheese were found to contain vegetable oil.
- The products were sold without proper labeling.
- The product lacked information regarding the inscription, "Contains vegetable oils" and details about the manufacturing company.
Igith LLC had organized the sale of its products through intermediaries, specifically individual entrepreneur Avetik Hakobyan, thereby attributing the regulatory violations to this individual entrepreneur.
