Following the earthquakes, a tsunami is anticipated. Japan's Meteorological Agency has issued a tsunami warning, alerting the public to take necessary precautions.
The tsunami threat and coastal evacuation notices include the Miyako Islands of Okinawa Prefecture, as well as the southeastern coast of Kyushu, the Pacific coast of Shikoku, and the main island of Honshu up to Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo.
