Azerbaijan Constructs Road Through Historical Armenian Cemetery in Shushi: Alert
From October 5 to November 3, Azerbaijanis have opened a road through the historical cemetery located in Shushi, known as the Yerevan Gate Cemetery. This information was reported by the Caucasus Heritage Watch organization.
The site contains at least 78 Armenian tombstones that date from 1802 to 1913. Corresponding satellite images have been published on the organization’s X page. It is noted that the dense forest covers the cemetery; thus, to locate its boundaries, the organization has utilized publications and maps related to Shushi.
