We Reject Decades-Old Political Policies: Tigran Avinyan on Gas Stations
In Yerevan, 14 gas stations have been dismantled, announced Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a regulatory meeting of the city hall.
“This is important because these gas stations have operated with normative violations. These normative data are crucial from a safety perspective. When we dismantle a gas station, the first thing we address is a safety issue. There could have been a gas station working next to anyone's home. In the center of Yerevan, we had five gas stations that have now been dismantled. I believe that very commendable and logical work is being carried out. We will continue to maintain this strictness,” Avinyan stated.
He declared that they are rejecting the political policy that has existed for decades, which, for example, has led to the operation of gas stations in the Downtown area and the proliferation of spontaneous constructions on community land.
“We are saying that we will bring everyone to act in accordance with existing criteria,” said Tigran Avinyan.
