Saakashvili Has No Right to Engage in Political Activities, Says Georgian Minister of Justice
The former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, cannot engage in political activities as he is not a citizen of Georgia, stated Georgian Minister of Justice Rati Bregadze in a conversation with reporters.
“How can a person in custody engage in politics? That's a matter of humor. That person does not have the right to engage in political activities in Georgia; do not forget that. He was the Supreme Commander. And which Supreme Commander leaves their country to serve another state? The Supreme Commander does not abandon his country and his citizens to take a different job,” Bregadze said.
