Israel Forms Emergency Government
Israel has formed an emergency government that includes five additional ministers from the opposition, reports the Haaretz newspaper.
The newly appointed ministers without portfolios are Benny Gantz, the leader of the 'National Unity' coalition, and four other members of the coalition.
During a session of the Knesset, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the activation of provisions that allow him to transfer powers to the cabinet committee for emergencies. This committee will include Netanyahu, Gantz, and the country's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
Additionally, Uriel Boson from the 'Shas' party has been appointed as the new Minister of Health.
Earlier, it was reported that Netanyahu and Gantz had agreed to establish an emergency government.
