Major Car Accident on Sisian-Angheghakot Road: Preliminary Reports Indicate Casualties
On October 11, at 5:30 PM, the Syunik regional rescue service's crisis management center received a report of a traffic accident on the Sisian-Angheghakot road, indicating that there were injuries and that rescue assistance was needed.
One firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue service was dispatched to the scene.
It was revealed that vehicles including a 'VAZ-2107', 'Mercedes-Benz', and 'VAZ-2106' collided at the 11 km mark of the Sisian-Angheghakot roadway. According to preliminary data, there is at least one fatality and several injured.
Rescue teams have de-energized the vehicles and shut off the valves on the gas cylinders.
