Details on Café Explosion: 3 Injured Patients Hospitalized
On October 21, at 17:37, the National Center for Crisis Management received a report that an explosion occurred at a café located at 2/6 Freedom Avenue in Yerevan, with casualties requiring rescue assistance. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
A firefighting unit from the Yerevan Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that, under still undisclosed circumstances, an explosion occurred without the outbreak of fire. The explosion damaged the 8 square meters of suspended ceiling in the restroom and kitchen, as well as 4 square meters of the external wall at the back of the building.
The injured individuals, identified as A. S. (born 1974), A. H. (born 2000), and S. were hospitalized at medical centers. Rescuers have de-energized the area.
