All for All: Russia Calls on Yerevan and Baku to Exchange Detained Persons
Moscow sees favorable conditions for the exchange of detainees between Armenia and Azerbaijan based on the principle of "all for all." This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a press briefing.
According to Zakharova, the Russian Foreign Ministry hopes for a successful exchange of detainees between Yerevan and Baku, noting that "very good conditions have matured" for this purpose. Thus, Moscow hopes that "this issue will be resolved successfully," continued the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
"We proceed from the position that humanitarian law norms must be applied to detainees in any situation. We have repeatedly called on our partners to finalize the exchange of detainees based on the principle of 'all for all' in bilateral and trilateral formats. Now, in our opinion, very good times have matured for that," Zakharova stated during the press briefing.
